This is a significant step in the right direction of the planet's history, as it is where the first organisms come to life. They are in the form of single-celled organism.

They could have been bacteria, or archaea, we're not entirely sure, but we know they were alive. No-one can explain why it happened either, it just seemed to be the right conditions for something to happen.
