Electromagnets & Solenoids

A transformer, which is used for many functions, including increasing or decreasing voltage.

Transformers have many different functions. They can regulate voltage by increasing or decreasing it, transferring electricity from one alternating current to another, and other functions. Solenoids are another term for an electromagnet. They also convert electrical energy to mechanical energy.
